What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a popular orthodontic treatment that uses clear, removable aligners to straighten teeth. These aligners are custom-made for each patient using our state-of-the-art Itero 3D imaging tool. Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible and can be easily removed for eating, brushing, and flossing.

Why Choose Invisalign?

There are several benefits to choosing Invisalign over traditional braces. Invisalign aligners are more discreet and comfortable than metal braces, and they do not cause irritation to the gums or cheeks. They also allow for more flexibility in your daily life, as there are no restrictions on the types of food you can eat. Invisalign aligners are also custom-made for each patient, ensuring a precise fit and optimal results.

Maintaining Your New Smile

After your Invisalign treatment is complete, you will need to wear a retainer to ensure that your teeth do not shift back to their original position. It's also important to maintain good oral hygiene habits by brushing and flossing regularly.

At Smiline Family Dentistry in Milton, Ontario, we are dedicated to helping you achieve the smile you deserve. Contact us today to schedule a consultation with Dr. Asra Ahmed and learn more about how Invisalign can benefit you.

The Invisalign Treatment Process

The Invisalign treatment process begins with a consultation with Dr. Asra Ahmed at Smiline Family Dentistry in Milton, Ontario. During this consultation, Dr. Ahmed will use the Itero 3D imaging tool to create a digital model of your teeth and jaw. This model is used to create a custom treatment plan that outlines the movement of your teeth and the length of treatment.

Once your treatment plan is created, your custom Invisalign aligners will be made. You will wear each set of aligners for 1-2 weeks before switching to the next set. This gradual movement of your teeth ensures that they move into their desired position over time. You will need to visit our office periodically during your treatment to ensure that your teeth are moving as planned.
